AutoLEX is toolkit to visualize and analyze automatically the rules governing language structure.
We attempt to do this by exploring syntactic rules in the given language
What does it mean to explore syntactic rules in a language?
For instance, canonically rules governing agreement in a language are defined over syntactic features, where we have the following rule for Spanish: “subjects agree with their verbs on number”. So for understanding morphology agreement in a language, we want to know answers to questions like `which word classes mark Gender' or more specific questions like 'which constructions in English show Person agreement'.
Another example would be understanding case assignment e.g. in most Greek constructions pronouns that are subjects of verb, are often in the Nominative case.
